Our vendor NorthPoint Communications has announced that the U.S. Bankruptcy Court has approved the sale of its assets.  This sale of assets does not include the continued operation of NorthPoint’s network or continued services to its customers.  As a result, the complete shut down of NorthPoint’s network is imminent, at any time between today and next Thursday.  When and if this occurs, all customers using NorthPoint lines will go out of service.

NorthPoint is currently negotiating with a group of ISPs for interim funding to support the migration of existing subscribers to alternate DSL service providers.  FirstGate.Net’s executive management, technical support and customer care departments are developing a series of contingency plans to maintain our customers’ connections.
